Even On holiday, you need to have something to eat. Don’t want to cook ?


In Rosas , you can find a lot of restaurant of food shop to takeaway.

I’ll talk you about restaurants I’ve tasted. I’ll try some other later.

But I’ll speak about those I liked.

Generally, you can see  photos in front of restaurants and on leaflet they give. It’s easy to choose : prices are without VAT (7%), and without drinks . You must drink bottles of water and not home water, which is bad. One of Rosas specialities is the Suquet of Peix.

Le chat de la Taberna Gallega

Of course, you know tapas ?

The better touristic tapas restaurant is “La Taberna Gallega, 101 Calle Trinitat – Tel : 972.15.17.88. Tapas are expensive but so good …

I can’t talk you about “El Bulli”, famous all around the world on Montjoi beach, because you must be VIP and reserve one year before coming !!!

L'EmpordaRestaurant L'Emporda

In first, an expensive and stylishness restaurant, “l’Emporda”, in front of the beach, along Sta Margarita beach.
Maybe you can’t pay it every day, but you should go there once, because it’s good and copious. You can come just to eat an ice-cream. A second restaurant is in Empuriabrava, it’s the same menu but it’s a less charming surroundings.





If you’re in Empuriabrava, it’s better to go to “Tony”. You’ll try ham, he’s the “bread with tomato” specialist.

Correct prices. The cooked pork meats table with is about 10.50 euros per person. The terrace’s room is decorated.
Be careful ! The restaurant is open on Sunday only in summer.      

 
 

 


 

 

On Rosas’ beach, on the Paseo Maritim, between Francerc Eixemenis Street and Jaume Roig  Street, there’re 2 simple restaurants, good and not expensive, with a nice view on Rosas.

I prefer the Bejamar . Just near, there’s the “Nit Y Dia” . The quality of the meat is more meticulous, but I prefer the Bajamar's aioli. Near, there’s a pizzeria I haven’t try. To the Bejamar, it’s better to take just one meat, it’s copious. It’s around 8.50 euros for a half chicken , with a little salad.

It’s the only restaurant I know where you’ve a plate less full than in reality.

I like the 11 euros menu with “calamars alla planxa with salad”, and paella, nice and good, with a simple sweet.

If you like Chinese food, you’ve the Mulan restaurant near Carrefour Express supermarket, one free buffet.

prices and a large choice of food. You can go to eat, even if you don’t live there

For food to take away, you’ve a large choice. In more in bakeries, you can eat “embotits”, little or big sandwiches . In the covered market, near Pep Ventura Place,  you can buy some different meats to take away.

 Carretera de las arenas, a seller of roast meat prepares (except Monday and Tuesday), some delicious roast chicken in wood light but you can command some other mixed grilled meats.

 Carrer Doctor Ferran, near the cinema, the “Pan i Company” (very good, open all year long except wednesday), "Kepizz" (pizza, kebab, chicken) very good kebabs (open all year long), and a Mexican restaurant (I went there just one time but it was fine.). There’re few restaurants near the one of the others but I haven’t tasted them.
Except in the covered market, you can eat everywhere because you’ve dining-rooms in each.

Suquet de Peix
It's a meat with fich, and potatoes in sauce.
Every year, Tourism office makes some advertising around this speciality.
