 FOR CHILDREN

 In more than not free activities as leisure parks, miniature golf, karting, Catalonya Place carousel, there’re some free games areas. You find one in Sta Margarida, along the Paseo Maritim, in front of Montecarlo Hôtel, another one on the Paseo Maritim, between the Ramble and the port, another one in front of Caprabo, in the middle of the Gran Via Paul Casal, and another one further away Plaça de l’Allegria, and several little games places are along the Rambla.

Leisure parks
Aquabrava ( site)

Aquatic activities park, open from the end of May to the middle if September, there’s the biggest waves swimming-pool in Europe, Rosas’ road in Cadaques.

This center, open all year long, 10 meters about Maricel’s flat, has a covered conditioner aired swimming-pool, a Jacuzzi, a sauna, a vapour bath, muscle-development room, aerobic room, proposes athletic cares, sea water therapy, and massages.

Nature

What is fantasic in his country is that nature is nevr so far, even if you're in a center of a town.
This is a varied nature : garrigue, rock coast, sweet-smet-smelling pine forest, botanical gardens, rock beaaches, sandy beaches, creeks, natural parks...

On my page "walks" , you'll know sites I've discovered.
 

I the country, ther's a few very magnificent anic gardens.
The more beautiful is a Blanes garden. It's called Mar i Murtra ( web Page) 
It's the most exceptional.

The nearest from Rosas is vey nice too. It's Cap Roig Garden. I's in the south of Rosas, near Palafrugell.

In Blanes, there's another botanic garden, Pyna de Rosa, composed essentially of cactus.

In Lloret de Mar Lloret de Mar, there's the Sainte Clotilde's Garden. I've never seen it, but someone avdised me to go there  in fat there. ( in fact there're too more things to see and to do In Rosas, that I don't havetime to visit around the town).

Rosas, a very ancient town, has a very rich patrimony.

Here, you’ve an access to Rosas’ history.

As soon as you enter in Rosas, you discover and walk or drive along the Citadel.

You’ll see background the Castell of the Trinitat surmounted by a crane for its restauration . Walking around, you’ll discover dolmens or ancient vestiges.

Under, this text in italics is one of the Foundation Roses History And Nature, (site just under)

The Roses megalithic tour reveals the rich array of remains dating back to its earliest inhabitants, some of whom belonged to the Neolithic era (4,000BC). Three large dolmens imbue the park with an especially unique character:

- The Creu d'en Cobertella dolmen , the largest in Catalunya, dating back to around 2,700 *BC.
- The Cama de la Generala and Cap de l'Home are from 3,200 BC.
- The menhir of la Casa Cremada is the oldest remains, along with the various caves dotted along the route.

The Foundation is currently studying a draft project whereby the megalithic area will be converted into an open-air museum with its corresponding signposting, routes, itineraries and information panels.

PATRIMONY AROUND ROSAS

We can’t name all, there’re too much. This zone border is occupied since too long years. There’re signs of its rich past. There’re some of them :

WALKS

You can take the Rosas’little train. The biggest tour is 30 kilometers long. You can discover extraordinary landscapes : Cala Joncols and its round about.

DRIVES

 There’re some places to visit :

- The Castello of San Fernando (or Castell San Ferran) in Figueres. This Castle’s site is magnific, click here.

There’re different kind of visits of Castell San Ferran : guided tours, special visits with a glass of wine in the end. Visits : water cathedral in boat to go to water reserve. You do the end in 4x4 car.On the site, those visits are in catalan and not very explicite and you can’t find hours to visit. When I’ll have other informations, I’ll give you them. This site talks about catalan forteress and about franco-spanish frontier.

Markets

On Sunday morning, Rosas’ market is an institution, as the Figueres market on Thursday morning. Another rendez-vous on Sunday morning in Castello d’Empuries : the flea market. It’s  in the round-about after Empuria when you come from Rosas by C260 road (Figueres road). Take direction San Pere Pescador, you’ll see the market on your right.

Flea Markets :

On Saturday, you’ve Flea market in Empuria in the place called El Trabuc, the traditional market is on the beach. On Sunday, there’s a flea market in Castellonou, in the modern part of castello. Coming from Figueres, on the highway, take direction San Pere Pescador. It’ll be just on your right.

There’s a magnific port in Rosas and you’ll see in the end of the day, boats, which are coming back from the sea. They’ve a myriad of bird behind them.
